AMI Aviation Services, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AeroMech Incorporated (, is an FAA part 145 Repair Station (#6A5R818B) offering expert troubleshooting and avionics upgrades at its hangar facilities at the Orlando/Sanford International Airport (KSFB) and in Smyrna, TN (KMQY) just outside Nashville. AMI specializes in ADS-B, Wi-Fi, WAAS LPV, and full or partial glass cockpit upgrades. AMI also has part 21 Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA # PQ4017CE) specializing in the design, fabrication, and kitting of complex aircraft electrical harnesses, structural parts, and avionics systems. Leadership Team

Dave Doucette, President

Mr. Doucette is President of AMI Aviation Services with overall responsibility for all aspects of the firm. Dave is also Vice President of the firm’s parent, AeroMech Incorporated. He has 34 years of increasingly responsible experience across the aerospace industry. Dave was with Boeing for thirteen years in engineering, marketing, sales, and contracts positions. He left Boeing to lead the corporate aircraft sales efforts at Fairchild Dornier in the Midwest and Eastern U.S. for four years before joining AeroMech in his current role. Mr. Doucette earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1983 and an M.B.A. in 1985, both from Texas A&M University.

Joe Doubleday, General Manager

Joe is AMI’s General Manager, based in Sanford, FL, overseeing all operations in FL and TN.  Joe is a certified A&P Mechanic and brings 50+ years of aviation maintenance experience to AMI.  Following service in Vietnam, and as a USAF reservist, Joe worked his way up the FAA chain to a senior leadership position where he retired following 30 years of service.   Joe has extensive MRO/Airline maintenance management experience and is the Chairman of the International Committee for Airspace Standards and Calibration.
